University Accommodation
If you are experiencing problems with your University accommodation you can speak to the accommodation team based in the Portland Building on University Park. Alternatively, if you are experiencing problems with your housemates you can speak to the Residential Experience Team. If you have any immediate security issues you can also call the security team on campus.
Housing Provider/Landlord
If you are having issues with your non University accommodation eg: repairs or housing issues you should raise this directly with your accommodation provider and speak to SU advice if further support is required.
If you are having issues with your housemates and have been unable to resolve theseyou can speak to the Halls Manager/Reception to see if they can help resolve the issues; If you are with a private landlord or if the accommodation provider is unable or unwilling to resolve these you can speak to SU advice who can offer advice around your tenancy agreement.
If the issues with your housemates involve harassment, bullying and/or threats please complete the Report and Support form with your contact details and our team can get in touch to offer support and guidance around reporting.
Our ResX team offer wellbeing support and events to students living in on-campus halls or halls of residents supported by our ResX team (full list here).
If you are having issues with your housemates, your mental health, or struggling to settle in you can reach out to the team who are on hand within working hours and evenings (up to midnight) and weekends (2pm- midnight).
If you are on campus and require support in an emergency, you can call the team 24/7 on 0115 951 8888 (for emergencies only)
