University support

Dignity Advisor’s are university staff who are available to provide impartial and confidential advice to support staff and students who have issues or concerns regarding harassment, bullying or victimisation. 

University Counselling Service offers free confidential support to students and staff.

University Off Campus Student Affairs Team can provide support to student living off campus in the community.       

Chaplaincy and Faith Support for students and staff of any faith or none. A quiet word in a confidential space can be arranged at short notice.           

Support and Wellbeing Officers are on hand to help support you alongside your personal tutor. They can provide guidance, help and advice if you're experiencing difficulties. 

 Students' Union Advice is a free, impartial, advice service provided by the Students' Union, independent from the university, providing support to students. 

Your Students' Union Liberation Officer is there to support marginalised groups as are the student union networks. 

Specialist Support

Nottingham Women's Centre  work across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire offering a range of formal services to women with mental health needs, women offenders, women who are seeking asylum, facing extreme poverty, escaping abuse or women simply wanting to make a change in their lives. They aim to help all women to gain the confidence and skills to achieve their potential and become stronger and more independent. They provide a safe and supportive environment in which women can do this, either by taking part in training or activities, getting support and services, or campaigning and becoming active in bringing about change. 

 Notts LGBT+ Network provide support and information for the LGBT+ communities of Nottinghamshire. 

Equality Advisory & Support Service is a Helpline that advises and assists individuals on issues relating to equality and human rights, across England, Scotland and Wales.

Citizen Advice Bureau provide free, confidential and independent advice on a range of issues including discrimination. 
 
Stop Hate UK is one of the leading national organisations working to challenge all forms of Hate Crime and discrimination, based on any aspect of an individual’s identity. Stop Hate UK provides independent, confidential and accessible reporting and support for victims, witnesses and third parties.
